laurent Gbagbo, Ivory Coast's president, played an important role in the resolution of Ivorian political crises; indeed, he proposed many solutions which ended the war. The question most people will ask is: how did he do it? His first strategy was to ensure that all opposite parties stopped fighting and be involved in the crises resolution. To give legitmacy to his intention for peace, he also proposed that all assailants would be pardoned for their role in introducing war in Ivory Coast. Thirdly, he proposed that manufacturing must be developped in the northern part of the country since unemployment in this part was one reason for the diffences. Because all these solutions proposed by him were attractive to all parties, they were accepted by the opposition and thus ended the fight and brought peace in the country.
